The Sonoma County School-to-Career Partnership connects classroom learning with work-based learning, helping students to find relevance in their educational experience. Students learn the skills needed to compete in today's economy while focusing on high-skill, high-wage career paths.
We provide personalized assistance and valuable pre-screening to help make your internship program as successful as can be. Our PathFinder online tool helps us connect youth with learning opportunities beyond the classroom.
PathFinder works like this:
Students access opportunities that meet their needs, interest and schedules.
Teachers, counselors and program staff access important quality and monitoring resources.
Parents help their children explore andarray of career and educational choices.
Employers have a "single point of contact" with high schools making it easy to get involved.

About Workplace Learning:
Opportunities, such as job shadows, workplace tours, service projects, internships and school-based enterprises, allow young people to gain access to resources that enrich and expand classroom learning. Through these experiences young people learn about themselves, explore areas of career interest, learn about he "real world" of work, and understand how their education relates to their future. At the same time, community partners and employers participate in the preparation of their future workforce and benefit from the ideas and energy that young people often contribute.
